Introduction of Founder Group

In 1986, with the investment from Peking University, Founder Group owns 5 listed public companies on the securities exchanges of Shanghai, Shenzhen, Malaysia and Hong Kong, and more than 20 wholly funded and joint-venture enterprise both homed and abroad. Total staff of nearly 20,000, it is one of the first 6 government approved technique innovation units, one of the top 500 large state-owned enterprise groups. In 2004, it achieved revenue of US$2.7 billion and tax profits of US$133 million.

Founder Group is one of the few Chinese hi-tech enterprise in possession of true ore technologies. In the "Project 748", a key national scientific and technological research project, Professor Wang Xuan invented the "laser typesetting technology". After the successful transformation and industrialization of this invention, Founder Group put an end to the era of lead and fire in the Chinese printing industry, and laid down a solid foundation for founder Group's high-speed growth for over 10 years. Nowadays, Founder's laser typesetting technology has occupied 90 percent of the domestic market share and 95 percent of the overseas Chinese typesetting market share.

The Founder Group focuses on internet based software development and system integration for the media industries. This includes information integration systems that are widely used in the newspaper, publishing and printing, broadcasting, television and internet industries in both China and worldwide. Founder solutions and systems are also widely used in the financial services markets.
